Predominantly jungle with large tundra zones in the polar regions. The planetary ecology has been severely disrupted by the continued detonation of military-grade explosives and by the pollutants of military operations here. Indigenous plant life already shows signs of widespread poisoning of the atmosphere and water table.

Details

As with the whole of the Skiwolkr system, this planet is ravaged by the continued guerrilla warfare exercised between the small Klingon and Romulan regiments stationed here. Their actions have brought greater devastation than the accumulated bombardment of stellar debris captured by Skiwokr's powerful gravity. Every ecological zone of this planet has begun to show signs of the military campaigns waged here. Some of the damage is directly caused by weapons, some of it by careless consumption of local resources, and some by the disruption of the predation habits of the indigenous life forms.

Specifics

D'gabo's political past is a messy one. When both the Romulan and Klingon governments refused to allocate a decisive blow in this sector, the local fighters established strong defensive positions throughout the Skiwolkr system. D'gabo, the only M-class system in the region, became a key resource for each side. Each force could sustain its efforts independent of the continually waning supplies from home.

D'gabo was eventually signed over to the Klingons as an overture of peace, and forgotten. The local troops, however, continued to wage their guerrilla warfare, never gaining a decisive advantage over the other. Today, D'gabo is a very treacherous place. Only the bravest of independent suppliers dares even to enter the system for fear of being captured or killed. Those who do make it to the surface may find lucrative opportunities, but all are rightly wary of the volatile personalities of the local commanders.
