Like the single parent star in its center, the Telzar system is very
plain, arrayed in a disk shape. When displayed on a sensor readout,
the orbital paths of its four planets form clear rings. The inner two
orbits are very close together and near to Telzar. The third orbit,
containing the M-class planet Tahrik, is further away. The last orbit
is exponentially further away, but still in a stable path. A loose collection
of comets and other dark matter is detected on both sides of the forth
orbit.
The Telzar system is almost equidistant to Klingon, Federation, and
Nimbusian space. As such, it has been the target of many diplomatic
meetings between the Federation and Klingon governments. Today, the
Telzar system is considered to be the property of the Klingons, though
continued political friction may be the sign that the Federation intends
to reclaim this area.
